It takes a community to run a successful farmers market. We are always looking for volunteers to help! Below are some areas we could use help with. Don't see something listed that you could help with? Contact Us and let us know!
Cross Walk Guard The market is located at downtown Highland's busiest traffic corner, with good reason! We want the market to be easily accessible and visible. The traffic lights at the corner of Milford and Livingston Roads have designated crosswalks and properly working pedestrian cross lights as well. However, for extra safety we are looking for volunteers to help assist pedestrians crossing these roads.
Entertainment Are you a musician? Do you like to teach art and craft projects? Do you like working with kids? Are you a great cook willing to share how to create some of your favorite recipes using farm fresh products? The Highland Downtown Development Authority is looking for volunteers to help create some entertainment for our market visitors to enhance their marketing experience.
Market Manager Assistant The Market Manager will be present at every market with a long list of tasks, including setting up community tables and directing vendors to rental stalls. An especially helpful time would be during market breakdown, 2PM - 3PM. The Market Manager Assistant could assist vendors with breakdown and ensure everyone is safely packed up and leaving the premises cleaner than they found them by 3PM.
Greeters Looking for an enjoyable way to spend your Saturday morning? The Highland Farmers' Market could always use extra greeters, helping direct customers to parking, the toilet, to other local businesses, and much more!
Marketing A farmers market can only be successful when people know that it exists. You don't need to be an official market marketer to help us out! Tell everyone you know, and everyone you meet even, about the Highland Farmers' Market! Share pictures and experiences on our social media pages! Rate us on Facebook! Spread the word!
